This would seem to be the ideal scenario for a Horizon View VDI desktop. However, with such a simple use case, it would make more sense to deliver these desktops using the Horizon View hosted desktop feature, which is done by using Microsoft RDS. This would allow for greater levels of consolidation and potential cost savings as you would only need to deliver enough sessions to cover one of the three shifts.

If they did not require any of the functionality of the underlying operating system, then you could just publish the CRM client app and a browser to allow them access to the intranet.
